Under his father’s expert tutelage he rose quickly in the company, learning how to market and operate a successful large business; he was responsible for over 40 employees, administering large contracts with both private and government enterprises - Denny wore many hats and his division got very big very quickly - a lot of responsibility for a 25 year old. While all this was satisfying and lucrative, Denny was feeling the desire for something new, something that would use more of his creativity and innovative ideas.
As Denny built up his fiefdom within the family business, he had learned more and more about working with and marketing for the internet; as a talented and creative copywriter, he loved coming up with great marketing strategies and writing fresh, effective campaigns. His desire to work more in this area eventually led Denny to leave his family business in January of 2008 to join the fledgling WebGem Network, where, excited about his new direction, he took over the marketing side of the business, writing copy and developing marketing campaigns and strategies for the company and its affiliate sites. He quickly fell in love with the limitless possibilities of internet business.
Denny rapidly became an expert at how commerce works on the internet; collaborating with clients, he developed a real passion for helping entrepreneurs to create and build their dream businesses online; however, in all his research, he came to the realization that for most consumers, building a website, establishing an online presence and creating a successful retail business was difficult, confusing - and expensive. He and his partners at WebGem felt driven to create and provide a simple to use and easy to understand solution to building a website, starting an online business and driving traffic and sales to that business.
His fresh marketing ideas and business expertise helped transform the company from a strictly e-commerce provider to a full-service “go-to” resource for entrepreneurs and startups who want to begin or evolve their online business.
